It is customary to give Holy Cards on saints feast days, festivals and childhood religious indoctrination initiation days such as first communion and first confession.
I made these most unholy irreverent cards that mimic those slipped between the pages of bibles and prayer books of the faithful.
My aim is to shatter the trance that lulls us to follow the guidance of an essentially corrupt organisation without criticism or question, as if the church was benign and paternal.
I think that by using humour mixed with undeniable facts I may jolt the pious mid prayer to recall their frontal lobes and think! Question!
